Best New Luxury Hotel 2014 — Luxury Travel Intelligence

beaumontlobby2014

The first hotel by famed restaurateur team Jeremy King and Chris Corbin, The Beaumont opened its doors to astute London travelers in late September 2014. The hotel occupies an enviable spot at Brown Hart Gardens in the exclusive Mayfair district, its 1926 neoclassical facade punctuated by a new and monumental experiential art piece by Antony Gormley. Titled ROOM, the three-story-high sculpture also serves as an architectural extension of the hotel, and contains the bedroom of a singular one-bedroom suite.

With only 50 rooms and 23 suites, The Beaumont is a very personal hotel that evokes the elegance and bespoke hospitality of pre-war Mayfair in its service and a European Art Deco aesthetic in its interiors. Forming the hub of the hotel are its restaurants and lounges, from the traditional New York style of the Colony Grill Room to the classic cocktails of the American Bar, where Hemingway and Fitzgerald themselves would have felt at home.

Guests can enjoy an authentic hamam experience in The Beaumont’s intimate spa or a workout whenever the mood strikes in the well-equipped, 24-hour gymnasium. Other perks include a chauffeur-driven courtesy car, free WiFi, and a thoughtful array of in-room amenities, including complimentary soft drinks, coffees and teas.
