The impressive and historic Arena di Verona – a Roman amphitheater dating back to the 1st century AD – sits within a 5-minute walk from the Due Torri Hotel on beautiful Piazza Brà. Built in the 1st century A.D. between the empires of Augustus and Claudius, the Arena was once used for gladiator shows and struggles with wild beasts. It is known as one of the best preserved structures of its kind and is still in use today, most notably hosting the Arena di Verona Opera Festival during the summer months, as well as recently being selected to host the closing ceremony for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.
